The Faculty of Medicine at Airlangga University (Unair) in Surabaya, Indonesia, is once again hosting the MEDSPIN (International Medical Science and Application Competition). This is the 17th edition of the annual event, which aims to challenge and inspire medical students from around the world. The theme for this year's competition is \"Nutritional and Metabolic Disease\", a topic that covers various aspects of human health and well-being.

The MEDSPIN competition consists of three stages: the online preliminary round, the semifinal round, and the final round. The online preliminary round will be held on May 15th, 2023, and will test the participants' knowledge on basic medical sciences and clinical skills. The top 20 teams from the online round will advance to the semifinal round, which will be held on June 10th-11th, 2023, in Surabaya. The semifinal round will involve a series of case-based simulations and practical tasks related to the theme of \"Nutritional and Metabolic Disease\". The best five teams from the semifinal round will compete in the final round, which will be held on June 12th, 2023, in Surabaya. The final round will be a live debate on a controversial issue in the field of nutrition and metabolism.

The MEDSPIN competition aims to provide a platform for medical students to showcase their talents and skills in solving real-world medical problems.
